The first event of the year is the Harrison Uncorked Wine Festival, in April. At the Saturday tasting, Muddy Waters Cafe will be providing canapes made with fresh local products from the local farms.
Various events take place from Easter till December at the Kilby Historic Site. Preserving life from the 1920's and 30's in a General Store built in 1905. In 2021, the Agassiz Harrison Museum will be celebrating its 35th year. Join them and explore the history of the families that made Harrison and Agassiz home. Located in an old CPR train station. www.agassizharrisonmuseum.org
One of our favourite events of the summer season is the Agassiz Farms Cycle Tour which is held in July. This incredible event takes bicycle riders on a 25k circuit of the countryside past some of the finest farms in the Valley. More info can be found at www.agassizfarmscycletour.com
Voted the best community fair in the province, the Agassiz Fall Fair and Corn Festival takes place in September. It's strong tradition is evidenced in its longevity with the Fair being over 106 years old and the Corn Festival being over 62! Two days of jam-packed, family fun on the Agassiz Fairgrounds includes a parade, midway, chicken and corn BBQ, exhibits, entertainment, 4-H animal competitions, antique tractor pull and so much more.
