Fall brings majestic creatures as the annual salmon run invites the eagles to feast. On November 17th and 18th, the 21st Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival celebrates another season of the winter-gathering bald eagles and salmon, but the phenomenon lasts until early January.
Located only 15 minutes away, Harrison Mills offers prime salmon and eagle-viewing spots.
Weaver Creek Spawning
While the channel is a man-made extension, it offers a wonderful opportunity to view spawning salmon. Peak activity is from October 6 - November 1.
Sandpiper Resort
Located on the Harrison River, the eagles gather in great numbers resting on the trees and riverfront. Watch from the golf course or private gazebo. Be sure to ask about the salmon specialty menu.
Kilby Historic Site
Enjoy a short walking tour down the dike to the confluence of the Fraser and Harrison Rivers. A costumed interpreter will explain the relationship between the salmon and eagles, and tell the story of the once-thriving mill town.
If you prefer to watch the eagles by boat, Harrison Eco Tours takes guests to see them up close and personal!

The Harrison Beer Festival includes Cask Night on October 26th, the Beer Festival on October 27th, and an Oktoberfest Dance on October 27th. Tickets are completely SOLD OUT for the Beer Festival, but we still have a few tickets left for the other two. Hurry, and get your tickets before they're all gone.
