Slow Summer Vibes

                                          CIRCLE FARM TOUR

Return to simpler times with this self-guided farm tour through the countryside!  A celebration of past and present, this tour is a rich mix of wonderful things to see, do, smell, and taste!

Suggested Stops:

The Back Porch: Dan and Lynda invite you to visit their pottery & basketry studio, watch coffee being roasted in a circa 1919 flame roaster, or head out to the barn to see antiques.

Farm House Natural Cheeses: A variety of award-winning handmade artisan cheeses are produced from rich, fresh milk produced from dairy cows and goats. In fact, you can watch cheese being made right in front of you.

Kilby Historic Site: Experience a snapshot in time -- a 1920s living and thriving historical site! This three-hectare heritage attraction includes interpreters dressed in period costume, a 1906 General Store Museum, Manchester House Hotel, as well as a working farm with sweet, friendly farm animals. Make sure to pop in for a bite to eat and try a piece of homestyle pie.

Support the Slow Food movement and our local farmers!

A long-anticipated and favorite event is the Agassiz Farms Cycle Tour, held on July 21. Coming back for its 12th year, this self-guided tour takes bicycle riders on a leisurely 30 km circuit of the countryside. Meet the farmers and learn about agriculture.

Harrison Village boasts a ton of amazing things to do and see!

Beach It: What's better than soaking in some rays while the kids make sand castles?   If you want to kick it up, don't forget that Harrison has an awesome waterpark!

Shop Till You Drop:
Whether you're a serious shopper or window browser you will find unique shops in the Village – selling everything from hand-crafted art to Christmas gifts. (Did we just mention Christmas in June? Don't groan just yet!)

Indulge: Our quaint strip does not disappoint when it comes to great eateries. Some of our faves include Morgan’s Bistro, Muddy Waters, Harrison Corner Cafe, and the Old Settler Pub.

Happy Birthday Canada!
Roll out the red and white on July 1st! Birthday festivities are taking place all day, including a pancake breakfast, parades, children's activities, family entertainment, craft markets, live music, and of course, a firework show over Harrison Lake.

The day will start at 8:30 am with a pancake breakfast and pet parade at 10:00 am followed by the main parade at 5 pm and fireworks at 10:00 pm.  See the full schedule.

Harrison Festival of Arts
From July 7-15, this world-class festival brings music from around the world.  The festival is an event the whole family can enjoy featuring music from all corners of the globe, as well as visual and literary arts, theatre, and a large outdoor art and craft market.

Harrison Dragon Boat
The Harrison Dragon Boat Festival takes place the 3rd weekend in July on the 21st and is one of the season's major races with up to 70 boats competing.

Harrison Hot Springs is far enough away to feel away from it all,
but only a 40-minute drive from Abbotsford and a
scenic 1.5 hour drive from Vancouver.
Love the journey as much as the visit.
